1 private bedroom suite, sleeps 4 — double bed, sofa bed, and couch. Exclusive-use lounge, dedicated bathroom, and a kitchenette for light meals, coffee, and snacks (not a full chef’s kitchen). Wi‑Fi and guest parking included; network login arrives after booking.

Door codes and Wi‑Fi details arrive via your booking channel (typically the night before or morning of arrival). If the lock fails, message in-app or email bookings@staynorthofsixty.com.
Parking
If you are driving, park on the left side of the driveway. Share your ETA and vehicle details in the booking channel so we can keep the spot clear. Exact street address is shared after booking confirmation — we publish Frame Lake South, Yellowknife only on this site.
House rules (summary)
- Maximum 4 guests
- No pets
- No smoking, vaping, or drinking indoors
- No parties or events; no commercial photography without prior written approval
- Quiet hours 10:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- No shoes indoors — leave them in the mud room
- Switch off lights and appliances when you leave; report damage promptly
Checkout checklist
- Used towels in the bathroom (please don’t run laundry)
- Trash to outdoor bins: black = non-compostable; green = compostable
- Lights, TV, and heater off; windows closed
- Log out of streaming apps; lock the front door
LG Smart TV + Apple TV and HomePod mini speakers are in the suite — use your own accounts and log out before you leave.
Getting around
Most everyday places are within about a 5 km radius of Frame Lake South. Yellowknife does not rely on major rideshare apps — taxis are the usual on-demand option, and guests can hire a rental car at the airport for more independence.
Prefer taxi apps. Many international guests cannot dial local numbers; download apps over suite Wi‑Fi (login via your booking channel).

You can also hire a vehicle (rental car) in Yellowknife — desks at YZF include Budget, Hertz, and National; book ahead in peak season. Also useful: Yellowknife Transit (typically Mon–Sat — confirm current hours) and the YZF taxi list.

Prince of Wales Northern Heritage Centre
Free territorial museum on Frame Lake — Indigenous cultures, northern history, mining and aviation. Pair with a Frame Lake Trail walk. Hours: pwnhc.ca/visit.
Cameron Falls & Ramparts
Short hike to the falls via Cameron River Crossing or Hidden Lake Territorial Park on the Ingraham Trail. Trail notes: BorealBase.
Dettah ice road (seasonal)
Ice road across Great Slave Lake to the Yellowknives Dene community of Dettah — open only when ice allows; verify yearly. Planning: Extraordinary YK · ice road tours.
Dog sledding
Book licensed operators via the Spectacular NWT directory — listings include Beck’s Kennels and Traditional Dogsledding Experience. Reserve early in peak aurora season.
Folk on the Rocks
Yellowknife’s signature outdoor music festival — traditionally a July weekend. Confirm the current year’s dates on the official site before you plan around it.
Snowking’s Winter Festival
Snow castle and winter events on Great Slave Lake ice — dates and access vary. Also listed on Spectacular NWT. More events: events directory.
Food highlights
Prefer local and northern character. Hours and seasonal openings change — confirm before you go.
The Wildcat Cafe
Historic 1937 log café in Old Town. Seasonal summer favourite; typically first-come, first-served.
Bullock’s Bistro
Iconic Great Slave Lake fish in a historic log building. Famous fish & chips — reservations recommended.
Trader’s Grill
Elevated northern Canadian cuisine at the Explorer Hotel — Arctic char, steaks, and a strong brunch tradition.
