Yellowknife’s strongest aurora travel demand typically runs roughly October through March, with shoulder interest in late summer / early fall. Multi-night stays give you more clear-sky chances — cloud cover and solar activity still decide any given night.
We are a place to stay: a quiet Frame Lake South basecamp near downtown and YZF. Book viewing tours with licensed operators separately.
North of Sixty Luxury Accommodation is lodging only — not a tour operator, and not related to North of 60 Aurora Adventures. We do not sell tours and we do not claim northern lights from suite windows.
Late returns after chasing nights are normal. Warm up in the lounge, make a hot drink in the kitchenette, and sleep in the private bedroom before the next outing.
